About FOSSC Oman

The Free and Open Source Software Conference (FOSSC Oman) is jointly organized by the Communication and Information Research Center (CIRC) at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) and the Information Technology Authority (ITA), on Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). The conference is scheduled for every two years. The previous event was on February 2017 and the next will be on 11 and 12 of February 2019. About Venue

The Conference is hosted by Sultan Qaboos University located at Muscat the Capital of the Sultanate of Oman. Muscat is an ancient city characterized by a unique civilization which also reflects the Arabian and Islamic influences. It gained its importance from its location at the entrance to the Gulf waters and flourished as a center of the marine route network connecting the most important ports of Asia, Arabia and East Africa.... Main Topics

The range of targeted topics is very broad, but priority is given to subjects on real world applications in home, education, research and business. Based on this, the program committee is inviting proposals for paper presentations, demonstrations and poster contributions on any topic relevant to FOSS. These include but not limited to the following:

Business, Innovation, Public Sector, Security and Privacy, Best practices, Knowledge and Education, Applications and Algorithms, Hardware and Platforms, The Internet of Things, and Beyond the technology.
